Thanks fren. I'm not the only one! I never used to follow the SCOTUS at all until the Kavanaugh hearings, so whenever I heard "Justice Alito" I always pictured a based Japanese guy.
I'm pretty sure the name is derived from greek by way of Italian, although there are way more people named Alito in the USA than in Italy at this point.

In my mind, I always see Judge Lance Ito when I hear Alito. He was the Asian-American judge during the OJ Simpson case that got a ton of air time.
