I'm working my way to it, the thing is that a lot of people I talk to mainly talk to me through messenger, they won't do it any other way, so I have to at least keep the messaging app up. I'll end up cleaning out most of the content that I posted though, especially the political stuff. I'm not going to go onto a feed though and be force-fed propaganda. that is where things are starting to get a bit ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. I'm looking at how I use social media though and how I can make it less stressful, blocking is going to become a big part of it, I've already done a lot of work on Facebook, Twitter, reddit, oh God reddit especially. I'd say about 60% of the subs there are complete political spam, once you get rid of those the site starts to become mildly entertaining again.
Yeah I know what you mean. I see all the pros and cons, I just see some use in Facebook as a communication tool, Instagram is also the least annoying of all the apps we have, I only ever use it when there's a camera moment, So the issue really isn't the apps themselves but the energy I put into them. I only posted this screenshot because I get annoyed at their little PSAs, it's been nonstop for 2 years straight at this point. I can get telling people to vote and get registered, but this whole thing about how we need to be told to look at elections is ridiculous. That's all that's really bothering me.
That alone qualifies them as a publisher-of fiction.

You did ask for it by using Facebook. The only way to hit back is to stop all the excuses and delete your account. The less users they have, the less money they make from advertising. It's as simple as that.
i got rid of facebook years ago, insta a few years ago. could not be more happier.
