The biggest political scandal in the history of our country is ongoing, and Fox News is trying to pretend as if nothing happened. They're just like CNN declaring peaceful protests occurred as buildings burned and rioters looted in their screen shots.

This had to be Tucker's way of saying he has been silenced.

I remember him treating the very obviously bullshit Russiagate very seriously. "If the president is a Russian agent this is the biggest scandal in modern history!".... But now? With the biggest election fraud scandal of all time happening? ohhh its not worth entertaining. my rich ass cant touch it or ill get fired and how will i ever survive on my millions?

Who knows the extent of the corruption at Fox? They probably threatened his family. Hell, they probably threaten the families of everyone over there. How else could Fox have flipped so drastically so quickly?

They never flipped, they always felt this way.

Lou Dobbs isn't backing down. Tucker folded like paper. They don't have to threaten his family, they just threatened his paycheck.

All of our families are at risk

He might be intentionally burning Fox with this. The probably told him, don't report on x, and he responds by turning his show into a clown show. It feels like he's falling on his sword to destroy the last bit of Fox's viewership. And they are stuck paying him until he's fired for low ratings.

It's kinda like working at a company, and being stuck dealing with bullshit, so you stop doing your job until they're forced to fire you and subsequently pay out unemployment.

Although he was the only show I faithfully watched on foxnews for years, I stopped watching him this week. I’m watching OANN for my evening news and commentary from now on. What did he say tonight?

Well it's nice to know when the state inoculates me with whatever they please and assigns me a job and jails me if I refuse to work it there will be pretty leaves in a part of the country I am not assigned to live.

THE_MAGAL0RIAN 8 points ago +9 / -1

Thanks. That’s disgusting and I’m glad I stopped watching. I hope, as someone commented elsewhere, that he’s deliberately trying to get low ratings to end his contract so he can leave, and not that he’s cucked out.

Keep in mind, these shows are slightly pre-recorded. I find it hard to believe that Tucker would willfully do this. I've said for some time now he'll be leaving Fox within a year. Same with Hannity and Ingraham.

Wow...I would've thought Tucker had a pair and would leave Fox altogether rather than this.

Trumpsbigbrassballs 10 points ago +12 / -2

He said he was going to ignore the election, etc., and focus on why America is a beautiful place.

And then he did exactly that.

So he’ll be in ostrich carlson sticking his head in the sand mode from now on. What a shameful disservice to our country. I’m glad I stopped watching.

He likely was given 2 roads:

  1. Report on what Fox wants

or

  1. You're fired.

IIRC he just re-signed the biggest contract of his life. FOX is for sure trying to pull the strings for him.

What’s the best play here for him? Like, they have a friggin monopoly right now on conservative media. Breitbart didn’t take off (and has its own biases). I think let’s wait and see, but there’s no way they can’t cover the election at all between now and December. Maybe once the first chunk of Biden votes is subtracted or a state flips from a recount, he’ll have more freedom again. But I think he will eventually have to explain what happened. He has said in interviews before that one rule of being an anchor is you can’t bash your employer. So he can’t really criticize fox while working there under his own logic.

I think if Tucker left, he could deliver the death blow to Fox. If he signed onto a big contract with a smaller network like OANN or something like that, it could elevate them to another threshold now that Tucker is clearly capable of getting some serious ratings.

I think the best move for him is to save face with his fans, abandon Fox's new cuckery (the takeover from the super-lib Murdoch daughter) and jump ship. He could take a slightly lower paying gig at a smaller network (and maybe take a % of the company, depending on how the deal goes) and ride that to victory.

If this 'silencing' is so effective (or even exists at all) how does Lou Dobbs get away with it ?

1
TheRealTurdFurgeson 1 point ago +1 / -0

Tucker's ratings dwarf Lou Dobbs. Dobbs isn't nearly as influential nor under the thumb of Fox quite as much.

Marc Levin had a similar opening to his radio program tonight. His point being that America is great regardless of the state of our political affairs and will remain so we’ve been here before and made it through we will again Marc is always commenting on how much of his monologues get copied by Tucker this may be one of those cases.

I disagree here.

Empires do not exist on their own. Criminals do rise with degenerate leadership.

The changing economy, degenerate forces like cancel culture and rising international risks all spell something awful for our country.

I can see 80% of the country failing to prosper in just a few years.

Fox News is not part of Disney. It was spun off into Fox Corporation, which is still owned by the Murdoch family.
