Then we could have a thousand more people in prison than they currently have put in prison.

BTW, how many people is that, that Giuliani and Powell have put in prison?

71
iliv4gamez 71 points ago +71 / -0

Good riddance, let their name be associated with spineless lawyers, can't trust them to represent you when it's so easy to undermine them.

53
PeaceThroughStrength 53 points ago +53 / -0

They may not care. Porter Wright is a well known and respected firm, and those tend to be full of liberals.

Rudy's old firm, Greenberg Traurig, has effectively been purged from the Northeast except for NYC because of association with the Trump administration.

51
CuomoisaMassMurderer 51 points ago +51 / -0

This cannot be allowed to persist. This is no different than China's social credit score.

.

36
Wtf_socialismreally 36 points ago +36 / -0

Cancel culture is a massive issue and the left who can't draw the line between cancel culture and China's social credit are functionally retarded

11
magalee 11 points ago +11 / -0

Whoever came up with "cancel culture" in the US should be thrown in prison and left to rot.

6
JediMasterPepe 6 points ago +6 / -0

Pretty sure the name was given to reactionally. Blame still falls into China's lap as its their social credit bs at work.

1

Either that or they approve of CCP takeover, chanting death to America. These people are actual enemies

5

4

Cancel culture universally affects one side.

That side that it affects? Not the left.

Just like China.

2
ChocolateEvryday 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't buy it. Nobody at any legit firm cares what juniors complain about bc they always complain. Most are gone to the next firm within a couple of years anyway.

Eta I'm seeing in this thread that other big clients likely threatened to leave. THIS is likely the reason.

If certain people are threatening you, you go to a court and get a restraining order. You would think lawyers would know that.

120

It was threats from big clients, that they would drop the firm. So, once again it's $ over country.

Well I can say a lawyer is your friend when people think they can bully you with legal bullshit, so that you can clear your name.

Some people think they can ruin you with threats of lawsuits. Most people will settle or give in.

But to fight for what’s right you need a good lawyer.

About 100yds with magnum buckshot; several hundred with slugs.

1
China_virus_Maga 1 point ago +1 / -0

You hit something deer or person sized at several hundred yards with a 12 gauge slug and youre pretty much a sharpshooting God. 100yds even is a pretty good shot to be taking with slugs. Buckshot will never get that far, the spread would be huge

1
Davito2000 1 point ago +1 / -0

Rifled barrel, + Magnum Slug= Win. Moving targets are hard, but not idle. As for buckshot, run a full or extra full choke and 3" or 3 1/2" load- 15-18 pellets 00. My Benelli Nova 12 has spread that can hit vitals at 100 yrds with that. Admittedly, 20ga is better for long-range slugs, but 12 isn't bad. You just need proper rifling and proper sights: if you're smooth-boring and using double-bead, you're doing it wrong. Also, Sabot Slugs > Foster Slugs.

Patriotism in general has been slowly sapped from the country.

I don't know if you remember, or even if you encountered it, but the excuse pushed around that started the decline of something as simple as the Pledge of Allegiance were people trying to be philosophical and saying "Pledging allegiance to your country sounds like North Korea or Nazis!"

4
eastern-truman 4 points ago +4 / -0

"Pledging allegiance to your country sounds like North Korea or Nazis." That's lazy, bs way of thinking.

It's the value that you're pledging allegiance to. North Koreans stand for their "supreme" leader, Nazis stand for their "superior" ideology. Americans stand for freedom and equal justice under law.

IMO, the NYT took the liberty to put their own creative spin on their reporting. "Some employees said they were concerned that the firm was being used to undercut the integrity of the electoral process." -- NOBODY could look at what the DNC and Marc Ellis have done and think that President Trump is the one undercutting the electoral process.

1
ChocolateEvryday 1 point ago +1 / -0

The NYT is fapping to a dream. The firm probably got word from another major client or two that they would bounce for PR reasons if the firm went forward with representing Trump. Firms need paying clients or else overhead collapses them.

69

I highly doubt the New York Slimes reporting on it. They may have quit, but I'm sure the NYT made a point to put this spin on it: "Some employees said they were concerned that the firm was being used to undercut the integrity of the electoral process." ANY half-assed lawyer can recognize that it's the DEMOCRATS that have undercut the electoral process, primarily through the unconstitutional work of DNC lawyer Marc Ellis. They have systematically violated election laws in dozens of states and created the current election chaos.

But then I remember, liberals don't think.

3
firstpitchthrow 3 points ago +3 / -0

If the last 20 years have proven anything, it's proven that what goes around comes around. What the powers-that-be are really frightened of is not Trump, and it's not the election results, what they are really afraid of is how many people Trump red-pilled in the last 4 years. They are desperately trying to put that genie back in the bottle, and they are terrified that if Trump gets another 4 years, the number of red-pilled Americans will be so much that they can't ever get back to the way things were.

This tactic reeks of desperation, they have to find a way to silence those who see clearly for the first time. I was a life-long democratic voter, who just accepted that government was the way it was, until Trump showed me another way. We're all here because of that. How many others are there like us, who see clearly for the first time?
