I've seen lawyers proudly stand up for rapists, serial killers, child molesters, terrorists...and they back down because they think it might harm people's feelings?!

IMO, the NYT took the liberty to put their own creative spin on their reporting. "Some employees said they were concerned that the firm was being used to undercut the integrity of the electoral process." -- NOBODY could look at what the DNC and Marc Ellis have done and think that President Trump is the one undercutting the electoral process.

The NYT is fapping to a dream. The firm probably got word from another major client or two that they would bounce for PR reasons if the firm went forward with representing Trump. Firms need paying clients or else overhead collapses them.
