No one really wants that. War is hell and needs to be avoided until it absolutely is the last option. You lose loved ones and your world turns upside down.

Totally agree but I don’t believe that the 2A option necessarily requires full-on war. The application against a few corrupt politicians or bureaucrats, even at the state level, should get the ship righted again for a least another hundred years.
