MI Pede here, born and raised. I think her election was probably legitimate. The guy before her, Rick Snyder, covered up the Flint water crisis. His AG was the candidate, as Snyder was term limited from running. Trump wasn't on the ballot - the GOP didn't stand a chance in that election.
Not to mention this was also the weed legalization election. A lot of people who never vote showed up for that one.
You raise a good point. Also, the bill for legal MJ was on the ballot. I just think that John James got hosed in 2018.
