Honestly, I think there's a big difference between these two examples because AOC wants people put on a list simply for their opinions, regardless of the fact that they have not committed any crimes. That's definitely worse and harder for people to empathize with, so this meme would be more powerful (to quote O'Dork) with a more similar example.
