Large banks never have to worry about people stealing from them.

If they ever need money, the government just gives them as much as they ask for.

OTOH, if somebody loots your accounts through bad security and bank ineptitude - you'll get it back eventually - but you may have to devote a year of your life on the telephone to make it happen.
