Not too familiar w/this guy, but after watching his podcast w/Alex, I haven't a clue what his appeal is.
He adds nothing & brought down everything. He talked to Alex like they were equals instead of giving him the obvious respect he deserves. He pretends nothing nefarious could ever be going on w/the cult & covid/blatant election fraud. His co-host/other guests were cool. Would of been significantly better if he just wasn't there.
Unless Alex is on again, will never bother looking up his scared to be honest bore fest.
He reads news articles and gives his take on it. Two years ago his take was interesting, but today there's nothing new to it. Think most of his appeal's been as a stepping stone for the left, because Tim refuses to stop saying he's on the left, while he mostly criticizes democrats and the media for all the usual stuff.
That said, once you join TD.win, you realize all the articles he's finding are just pulled from here.
As for his personality, it's never been a plus. He's annoying and whiny sounding. I used to watch only the first two minutes of his videos to get the synopsis of what the article says, then shut it off without listening to the last 10 minutes of him screaming into his mic.
As someone who watches pretty much every single news video he puts out, here is my reason. I don't watch his podcast, his news channels are very different. He is very good at doing news research and verification. He is able to piece together the complete picture of a story using multiple articles, showing where discrepancies are and pointing out lies and framing devices. He gives a very unbiased report of what the event is that happened, and gives his own opinion on top of that.
Sure, he isn't perfect by any means. He sits on the fence probably because he doesn't believe that the establishment machine can truly be taken down, and doesn't want to dive into what he sees as being more conspiratorial. His dynamic when recording with other people also isn't great. However, for straight news and political commentary on his own, I think he does a really good job. I don't watch TV format news networks, and a lot of the political right leaning YouTube channels don't do straight researched news videos like he does.
