The way this is drawn, the country is lost. You'd need a rope tied to Seattle to save the country. The center of mass is already past the edge. The country would immediately tip forward until Florida hits the vertical wall. Texas would pop off the top of the cliff and everybody would get pulled down.

I think we are in better shape than this.
