Trump, actually we the United States, would probably make a relatively Sweet deal with him, he chooses to fight extradition here tho. The fact he fights extradition makes me consider it is possible he knows he is guilty of more than we know he is guilty of doing.
He 'probably' assisted the traitor Bradley Manning, espionage crimes. But that can be adjudicated, sentenced/time served/pardoned or whatever for his cooperation with data proofs.
Now, here's the thing I think Assange understands - we don't need his data, we have more than enough. His data would be useful to corroborate ours and Trump is compassionate, unless Assange has other crimes tucked away he could come here, be dealt with and resume his life.
He, Assange, chooses not to do that, for some reason.
Whether the info they released helps Trump or not they are were still in violation of US law. Exposing US secrets is a huge crime, no matter who it helps
