I was in grade school in 1976. I asked my parents why everyone was cheering, wearing red white and blue, and waving American flags. They explained that Americans were excited because our country was now 200 years old. People celebrated this country, the envy of the world, and/ or an example for other counties to follow. Americans have freed and fed more people than any other group or county ever. Everyone is trying to get in, and no one tried to escape (except for fugitives from justice). The Spirit of '76 is the spirit our founders forged in 1776, and THIS website is the best or among the best digital embodiments of that spirit. Our great founders are as blown away by Trump as are we are!!
