This will go like this. Okay, so we have this policy but we don't have the required people of colour who can fill this role. So, let's hire a white person but that would be racist. This is puzzling. Big Tech breathlessly clings to diversity in the workplace over merit, and therefore are against any form of discrimination, yet they side with Harvard, who is being sued by the Department of Justice over discrimination by Harvard’s admission policies against Asians and whites to favor other minorities to keep their diversity balanced artificially:

I conclude that Big Tech‘s position is that the greater good is to perpetuate the lib-think hegemony in higher Ed by maintaining absolute control of who is admitted for brainwashing.
A few years back a series of... mmmmm.... news reports? Came out talking about how Big Tech likes outsourcing and work visas. The first is obvious: get the lowest price per code. The code is crap but who cares? The work visas were a different, more horrible, game though. First, they'd craft the work visas so that they had strangely specifics demands (getting around local laws) for the work while paying significantly less for what was being asked. Then, when they got a foreigner to agree and move over, they'd treat them like crap. And the worker couldn't complain, because the company would fire them and they'd lose their work visas and get punted out the country with little notice.
This is my poor summery of how that went down. You can probably find more accurate info through a search, as it's not related to the election lol.
Anyway, from that point on I understood Big Tech's obsession with immigration and why they started heavily siding with leftists. Have you ever noticed how liberals want to let everyone in to vote, but they never let them have any kind of worker protections? It's not a coincidence. Companies use No Borders and Diversity garbage from the left as a smoke screen for what they (and every other nasty arse company at this point) wanted: cheap foreign labor they could abuse to their hearts content.
If they ACTUALLY wanted to remove ALL potential racism from the hiring process, they'd create system that removed all identifying information from the hiring software (names, gender, college name, etc) and just hire based on merit and wouldn't have any idea about race or gender up until the first in person interview. This common sense change would, of course, be considered racist by today's leftists though because there'd be a drop in black, female, Latino hiring because unfortunately they can't compete apples to apples.
