He's one of the biggest surprises. He ran an awful campaign and almost lost to that guy we found on the floor in his own vomit at a gay meth orgy. His campaign was basically "I like Trump. So vote for me." It didn't inspire confidence in how effective he'd be in office. Yet, here we are and FL has one the best governors in the country.

I think his campaign wasn't going well until Trump showed up and basically dragged him around and said "hey, vote for this guy".

Ron has overall done a good job since though, and I think he's learning to draw in MAGA crowds from the GEOTUS. His handling of the press has definitely improved -- he yelled at them at least once during the early phases of the COVID crap -- seemed very Trump.

A reason I voted for Putnam in the primary was because I felt he had a firmer grasp on "Florida-based issues". All DeSantis seemed to have was that he was endorsed by Trump. I voted for the guy I felt would be better for Florida.

I was wrong.
