I wonder the same thing. I think it gets into the people who regardless of right or left, they have held this position in their county for x number of years and this is ust how it's done and how dare you question it. they also are the most vulnerable to being poisoned against trump purely based on some random tweets because they care more about their own idea of "civility" than they do about any issue or anyone at all.
