the real world reality is most Electors are faithful, and it's known who they will vote for by those States' Legislature that appoints them. Republicans have many more than 270; and worst case it goes to the House on a STATE basis (each State's deligation gets only 1 vote; so CA with 53 House seats and RI with 2, both get 1 vote), and Republicans control way more States.

What would be the chance of republican electors doing DJT/Pence dirty? Are they obligated to vote republican?
