They did a great job today protecting patriots while the so called protectors of the peace stood by.

A big problem with police, it seems, is that they are a mainstay in any societal power structure, so they think they can be indifferent to major shifts in the government and will remain as a sort of centurian for society. All they know is to do what they're told and they can keep the position. At least, that's the only way I can explain the disgust I'm starting to have seeing the difference in how they treat antifa/blm "rallies" and conservatives.

Yep, they punish the peaceful and ignore the attackers. Following orders is an old excuse they use to tell themselves they aren't doing wrong.

When the constitution was signed, we did not have police. About 50 years later, the first city paid police were hired in Boston.

The thing is, any way you cut it, you always have some type of security force in any given society as things progress, because you have older, or in some way weaker citizens, like women, who are targets for criminality because they can't protect themselves so well. It makes sense to designate an institution of police, instead of having stronger citizens take turns at it or do it for free. As for how to get the police and black people at sort of a zero position, I have no idea. And it's not the police at this point, I think, but a lot of black people have an ax to grind that they don't want to let go. Frankly, all I can think of is a Trumpian America is the best route, but we have to get rid of this traitor media.

At one time many police precincts refused to hire people with IQ's that were too high.

They said, "high IQ people would get bored", but it's probably more along the lines of looking for blind obedience.
