Because it means the military has taken over and destroyed any ability to negotiate between SK, NK, and China. Let's not forget, the SK interliason building was demolished across the NK border shortly after Kim died.
Weird how when COVID first started we were still hearing back and forth rhetoric/updates between NK and the US but now we haven't heard a single thing.
What happened?
Did NK stop testing missiles?
Did they stop taking orders from China?
Are they no longer a dictatorship?
Is Kim somehow a good guy?
Or perhaps Kim is no longer in the picture..
FYI.. it is Korean tradition to keep a leader's death secret until they find a successor.
It's within POTUS' interest to not stir things up right now. Best not to make it public.
You're right, I didn't notice that at first! Nk was back in the news for refusing to recognize Biden, and an msm article referenced this in present tense terms, so I had assumed it was a recent response to Biden's foreign policy demands
Lol one thing we all have to respect about Kim Jong Un is that he's out there doing his best to carry out a North Korea First agenda. Has he broken a metric fuckton of basic humanitarian rights in the process? Absolutely, but then again, he also hasn't spent his time in power selling out his own fucking country to foreign powers. He sticks to his guns and had the balls to challenge even America. This is probably why him and Trump see eye to eye - a mutual respect between enemies.
Surrounding himself with people close to him and then submitting to American and South Korean occupation while aid is delivered to the population in the form of education and their military and nuclear capabilities dismantled would be a pretty solid start.
Then entering back into the world stage allied with someone NOT China would be pretty solid.
Well.. they are not wrong
BASED KIM
Kim isnt alive. Hasn't been since early summer.
Before replying, research 2 things:
It's a pretty big fucking deal from a natsec and foreign policy perspective
Because it means the military has taken over and destroyed any ability to negotiate between SK, NK, and China. Let's not forget, the SK interliason building was demolished across the NK border shortly after Kim died.
So it's a little important...
I feel like we'd know if he's alive or not though. Like, our intelligence "community". And surely our President would know.

You make a fair point
This article is from last year, just to be clear.
You're right, I didn't notice that at first! Nk was back in the news for refusing to recognize Biden, and an msm article referenced this in present tense terms, so I had assumed it was a recent response to Biden's foreign policy demands

But they do apparently repeatedly refer to him as a "rabid dog" up until the election, and haven't recognized him as a winner so far
Rocket Man got a bone to pick?
Fuck this is getting nuts!
Where is the Kraken???
based
Maybe there's more animosity between NK and Chyna than advertised.
haha I love based Kimmy
What are the chances that MSM lied about NK just like they lie about everything else?
Fucking damn.
Trump showed kindness and they show it in return. This is always how Asians work.

He just inherited a terrible system from which no peaceful exit exists, so he needs to maintain his position to survive.
Surrounding himself with people close to him and then submitting to American and South Korean occupation while aid is delivered to the population in the form of education and their military and nuclear capabilities dismantled would be a pretty solid start.

They would let him off without any problems?
And yet another reason they hated Trump, he actually tried to bring world peace in our life time.
