About your insight regarding abortion: it reminds me of an old scene from South Park, where Mrs. Cartman goes into an abortion clinic with Eric in tow. She tells the counselor (nurse?) "I'd like to have an abortion."
"How far along are you, Mrs. Cartman?"
She looks at Eric and replies, "He's eight." That used to be a joke.
In Ancient Rome, the patriarch had the right to pronounce life or death over the other members of his family, especially his children and grandchildren, for any infraction he deemed appropriate, did you know that? That's the pagan world for you -- the world they're trying to force us all to return to. So, that South Park scene truly is not a joke any more.
i understand your statement about not wanting to be on the right,, you sound like you want to be rational. and that's a good thing.
I don't think our purpose is to "push people to the right"... not the Political Right - we want to have people who look at things to the right/correctly. I want my world filled with people who will tell me that I planted things too close together rather than "aren't they pretty". Of course if it doesn't make any difference, just hush :)
