You guys are so right about exercising away the doom feeling. I was carrying that since election day, until I reached my limit and got myself back to excising. Felt better in two days.
Although I appreciate the thought behind wanting to look to other sources to get an overall balanced perspective, I've learned to just be content ignoring CNN and the like. No use in cluttering my perspective of reality with a perpetual propaganda machine.
A lot of my social life was spent around leftists (although I considered myself independent/middle of the road during that time), so I can understand the struggle with breaking from the programming.

After seeing the extents that the left would go to just to remove trump Russia hoax, Ukraine hoax, kavanaugh spectacle etc. It doesn't surprise me that they would go to the extent of stealing an election.
personal opinion but i think Part of our dilemma is that the conservative side, the uplifted and those who look at the rain as watering the veggies, do not want to fight. I mean come on - the jerks on the other side (media) want/demand to be right no matter what.
they will lie to get whatever, and once they got it, well, that's not good enough, find, stir, aggitate more.
I'm like you I want relative quiet and peace - i want people of the the other side to use their BRAIN!
stay strong - shut off the news for a few hours. as silly as it sounds, Chill :) make a paper daisy, cut a piece of wood, do something non-essential but keep busy.
note that i have gone thru at least a dozen full blown snits this morning and am in the 'find my footing' stage for the moment :)
I don't want to be someone who gets all their news from one source, one side, so I look to CNN and others as well as TDW.

Mostly laughable - in the sense of how delusional it is. As to the original point of your post - the leftists I know in real life are demoralized as well. The upbeat mood, the positive outlook that was there for them when Obama was elected isn't there for them at all now.
Here's how I would compare their mindset:
Obama McCain 2004 - Doctor tells leftist patient: "Great news, you don't have cancer and we found you have a cancer fighting gene that companies will pay you millions of dollars for."
Trump/Biden 2020 - Doctor tells leftist patient: "Good News, you have terminal cancer, but we have a chemotherapy plan that you can afford if you sell your house and liquidate all your investments."
. Four years and everything has constantly looked like it wasn't going to work, until it does.
