They got us here slowly, but we’re not fighting to go back to how it was. We’re fighting to Make America Great Again, not roll life back to the 1950s which were by no means perfect.
Grades K>8 - Waldorf teaching methods. Teach children how to ask questions instead of dictating information. Develop curriculum on the fly as needed and stop relying on a department of public instruction for guidance. Organize teachers into cadres based on their observable skills and determine through process of elimination what set of skills from each teacher in a group established the most effective cadre. Teachers fire other teachers. We don’t need administrators. Fire teachers who don’t deliver positive results even if they do deliver neutral results. Education is too important to let an incompetent participate. Hire a shitload of teachers so that every student ends up working with at least 10 teachers (5 - 10 students per teacher) by the time they at in Grade 8. Makes sure that student have a wide selection for a role model and a variety of opinion (see later how we increase supply)
Grades 9>10 - Tradeskills, a different skill each of the years. Add or remove programs as they become more or less relevant. No you can’t switch once you start one of the years you’ve committed to a path and you’ll learn it even if you hate it and the next year can do something completely different. Journalism, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry, Programming, Robotics, whatever the fuck we want to identify as a trade skill that produces a product so no philosophy (do that on your own time for self betterment) or critical race theory bullshit (never).
Grade 11 - Mandatory Year of Federal Civil Service, All Expenses Paid, Basic Training, Leadership Training, Planting Trees, Rebuilding Trout Streams, Cleaning Beaches, Maintaining Fire Roads, Building Camp Sites. Mix up the participants for each work group so that we get a distribution of states, classes, races. This gives the federal level an opportunity to build Patriots, but not from birth. You’re old enough at this age to fight back against an ideology if you really want to and you learn the lesson very quickly that the federal government cares, but not about you specifically.
Grade 12 - Mandatory Year of State Civil Service, All Expenses Paid, Returnees from previous year organized into state service units, Similar tasks but led by identified leaders within the student/civilService body, Proposal and review of projects collaborative between state officials and service unit leaders (students and their peers).
After two years of mediated self exploration, learning, and service the government will know who is a dumbass and roughly where each person is looking like they would fit best in society. Make recommendations based on actual intellectual capacity. Stop lying to people about what they are capable of.
Offer zero interest loans to all of the people who complete the two years. $30K in a government managed account to be put towards college and reduced tuition for programs that lead to professions that are needed sorely. Reduce the academic certification required to become a teacher and make the certificate available at community colleges with a federal certification standard. Offer students who do not want to pursue higher education a $20K zero interest loan and free online entrepreneurship classes along with $10K in a federally managed HSA.

Pursue anti-trust cases against all big tech companies. Break up big banks. Regulate the NYSE to prevent hot air IPOs, firewall between consumer and investment banking regardless of the institutions capitalization or size. Big tech lives off the financial sector. This would break them. Impose a common sense federal data privacy with a legal mechanism for consumers to sell their data to corporations and make unpaid data harvesting illegal at the federal level (use interstate commerce loophole that the ACA exploited).
Reshore manufacturing by continuing the trade programs that GEOTUS has already put into place and put in place more of them with more countries. Educate every single American on the procurement process for the federal government and their state/local governments. Force all governments to seek local purchasing options for goods, the more local the better. Stop shipping all of our waste back to China and start recycling it stateside. Our waste streams are incredibly valuable and we currently value them at a negative in many cases.
There’s a lot of other stuff around tech and monopolies in general that I could suggest but the reality is that we just need to break them apart and then get more people in the fields they hire from that are produced domestically instead of importing H1B workers. Reduce the value of labor and thus the appeal for tech companies to centralize with the primary function being cost savings on labor due to scale bargaining power (what started amazons runaway growth).
I’m planning to run for office in the next two years. I can no longer tolerate professional politicians. I’d encourage you to do the same. There are a ton of part time government jobs that have an outsized impact on your local community (alder)
