I've seen multiple stories and reports that the flu is gone. Like 80-90% fewer cases than an average year. It also happened in the southern hemisphere over the summer (their winter).

It's entirely possible that all flu = covid now, but scientists (real ones) seem to be confused by it and are doing actual research, so it seems like there could be more to it.
