Last two rises were tied to specific events. This one is almost all across the US, no specific super-spreader events or locations being identified.

What's going on?

It doesn't matter if there is a supposed spike in 'cases'. You can't eradicate this virus, a large portion of the population will end up getting it, and some might even get it more than once. But increased testing, flawed testing, incentive to classify everything as covid, it all adds up to a spike in 'cases'.

What is the current tally on the common flu?

Has the common flu dropped off the historic timeline?

Someone is fiddling with the statistics and the definitions change daily, IMHO.

I've seen multiple stories and reports that the flu is gone. Like 80-90% fewer cases than an average year. It also happened in the southern hemisphere over the summer (their winter).

It's entirely possible that all flu = covid now, but scientists (real ones) seem to be confused by it and are doing actual research, so it seems like there could be more to it.
