Good point. I just remember that fifteen years ago, it was still "somewhat safe" for my friends and I to travel there. Now? Everyone knows that if a couple of us get sent there for anything work-related we pretty much have to stick close to our hotel rooms or only venture out in a group, preferably with male co-workers.
I know personally many Trump supporters in the Maritimes. However, conservatism is looking grim in Canada, it is true. There have always been whispers of joining the Union but it will never happen. Many of us love Trump because if Trump strengthens US conservatism then there will be hope for some of Canada. That is to say, more Americanism in the south makes us feel bolder about standing up to the Liberal Global elite.
