This is why Republicans fail. Sure, it's a great ideal to have bipartisan support of issues that matter, but when two parties run on platforms that are ideologically opposed to one another, the "high road" is fighting for what's right, even if you make enemies of the other party. I've had it with polite "conservatives" that won't do anything when it really matters.
