I don't see how adults seem to forget this when they become adults, but I never in my life met a kid that didn't cuss at all when only around other kids...
Even back in the 80s this was true.....
Now with the internet, and growth online gaming in the last 15 years, it seems even more like a pointless endeavor to think you're shielding them from anything....
Sometimes I walk past 7-8 year olds and think 'damn I'd sound retarded as well if I grew up on Fortnite'. Lik, I curse a lot, but these kids impress me sometime. I grew up on WoW, wasnt nearly as bad there but now its pretty bad there as well
You didn't know any kids that didn't curse? Don't get me wrong, the vast majority of kids curse like you say and your point is valid but i definitely knew a couple kids that didnt and even now i work with a teenager who says fiddlesticks and sugar instead of curse words so they are out there haha
Nope, never in my life met a kid that wouldn't ever say a cuss word when only around other kids or even/especially when they think they're by themselves...
But I knew tons of those kids with extra extra strict parents who never ever cussed around their kids and acted all crazy about not ever letting them hear a cuss word be spoken if at all possible... And I can also tell you that all of those kids generally ended up cussing more than the rest of us kek... Hunan nature, I guess.
I think the important part is that you still do like my mom and most of our parents did and you don't dare let your kids cuss out right in front of you and you still get on to them if one ever slips, because it's a respect thing, but going as far as to trying to ear muff them or acting all crazy if they hear a cuss word from another source.... Well that's just pretty ridiculous at this point these days.... It was just as ridiculous in the past too, but for some reason adults just never figured it out and somehow forgot what it was like to be one of those kids, while all but guaranteeing the following generations would take cussing to the extreme....
Christians. Christianity will be our downfall as it has been Bolshevism from Moses to Lenin -- do you think anything in that book is real? Do you think any of the morality as real? Do you think keeping people as sheep and children is how you win against evil?

I know parents right now that are just strict about the whole cussing thing and helicoptering their kids and, yet, they are atheist, so while it may be more common on the Christian end of it, it sure as hell isn't the only culprit....
They have a Christian morality but do not believe in the literal history of the bible. But their ideas about parenting stem from Christianity, so it is still a problem. They got Jesus in their brains whether they know it or not.
Most leftists are atheists, but leftism is simply the next Christianity. History repeating itself with different characters.
