Cops, like teachers, almost NEVER live in the communities they police. Near enough to commute, but not in them.

In LA when the riots went down COPS DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR WORK because they were at home, protecting their own property.

Remember too, SCOTUS has ruled that cops have no legal responsibility to protect you physically if it would put them in harm's way.

Cops are an arm of the state, paid very well and promised a large pension at a young retirement age to keep them nodding their heads and saying "Yassir, massa, whatever you say."

There are good men in the force, but counting on them to be on our side especially in a city like DC is irrational.

I feel like the Supreme Court should rule that if a cop SEES a crime being committed right in front of them, he/she is obligated to step in and detain ALL participating parties.
