Singing resumes, mouth full, "Buh naaaaah, aaaaaaah feeeeeeeeeee." Fourth person comes back to the livingroom, powdered sugar on shirt, jelly on face. Now, we do not have PROOF. That sugar and jelly could have been from Donut One, this person is a notoriously sloppy eater. The cessation of singing could have been from a yawn. The other donut could have been eaten by anyone.
But we do have plenty of evidence. We can work out what happened. For instance, if nobody else got up after the original donut distribution and start of the movie, then it's a lock. If nobody else eats Jelly Donuts, but prefers boston cream, glazed, chocolate, whatever, then it's a reasonable certainty.
But to scream "You have no evidence that a donut was even eaten! And if you talk about it, YOU'RE stealing a donut!!!!" makes you look and sound not just like a retard, but as an ACCESSORY to the crime itself.
