They can’t revoke the license (last time I looked). They can change their license and block them from future upgrades. Running it yourself removes them from any perceived liability. Yes, it means you have to worry about keeping it running but you at least didn’t have to build it.
WordPress is an open source CMS platform written in PHP. The code is all public. Anyone can use it. Setting up your own WordPress server from scratch with no technical know-how, however, would be a nightmare
But the thing is that you're responsible for the complete and total security of it at that point. Self-run WP sites - especially the ones that run a lot of 3rd party modules - get smoked all the time, WP is notoriously shitty in its security. It's almost a full-time job keeping it safe and secure.
Granted, this is probably the best immediate option forward while something more long-term is determined, unless CTH were to get someone strong in the InfoSec field, that is.
There are so many security plugins and services for Wordpress.. one example would be Wordfence which is only $100 a year.

Citizens First Bank gave money to only republicans in 2020. There are few other right leaning banks out there. Suntrust Bank is another one.

There already is.. just use wordpress.org instead of wordpress.com. Then you have complete control over your website. This is such an easy fix.
