The man mocking and scoffing is a Democrat; therefore, Dems are, and always have been, the biggest threat to our republic. There have never been any brakes on their visceral appetite for self-aggrandizement at the expense of the public weal.
Why? Because our political system is built on the principle of Enlightened consensus, not partisanship. Our Constitution has no in-built mechanism to handle and control the corrosive avarice of party politics. Any organized group with a will to skew our republic can eventually overcome the Constitution and break it.
That's why the Dems are ferocious about controlling the SCOTUS Judiciary. It, along with electoral fraud, are their principle means of forcing their agenda on the public who were otherwise-ignorant of their cabal of diabolical will.
Trump isn't going quietly into the night; he's forcing all these dark and nasty machinations into the bright spotlight of public consciousness. He's going to break the Dems so as to right the ship of state from the corruptions of the Obama era. He is The Warrior of Light.
100 percent....At this point it's not the Dems I fear, but the general apathy of the public. If Bread and Circus are the only things we care about, we are doomed at the beginning of any conversation regarding corruption.
I agree. And as a university educator, I've been a ferocious opponent of sports on campus because it quickly corrupts the intellectual atmosphere: things have to be dumbed-down, pro-recruiters impose their demands on the system for an athletic 'product', and alumni only donate if they can be entertained by the ball games.
Big money is involved, not to enrich the learning environment, but rather, to turn schools into 'sports farms' and pipelines for the trillion-dollar national big leagues. Since the 1960s, major league sports, along with Johnson's Great Society welfare state, have been the Bread and Circuses keeping us anesthetized and quiescent.
The recent knee-taking/wokeness virus affecting the pros has been a literal godsend! Leftism destroys everything it touches...eventually including itself. Virtue-signalling by million-dollar cleated troglodytes have been, like nothing else, responsible for breaking the public's mesmerized addiction with spectator sports. I can only hope that the pros double-down on their politicization so as to break our culture, once and for all, with its mania for ball-watching.
