I run a political account on social media as an open lesbian conservative, and the amount of homophobic slurs thrown my way is unreal. Mind you, it's always been from the left. Many of them have expressed wanting me killed in graphic detail or worse and even joy over sending me these harmful messages. Nothing ever comes out of them when I make reports, though.
There was one time where I had up to 100 people in my inbox within a span of a few hours telling me rude and awful things solely because they didn't like that I'm a lesbian conservative. The extent of it has made me paranoid and distrustful towards leftists, and I feel more secure in right-wing crowds.

Maybe you can track some of them down and file official police reports, and even confront them in person like Steven Crowder.
They will be shaking in their boots and feeling the world come down on them when you tell then in person that the police are their way.
