To those in their loop, that "OUR" doesn't mean what yours - it means theirs. Democracy doesn't mean what you assume either. Soviets were democracies as well. In other words, it's a call to their allies to prioritize the issue in their propaganda.
To the sheep, it just rings nice, as it leeches on the positive value of democracy (something good to be preserved) and the rallying emergency of action against "threats".
Yep. This was what I was going to say. They're not saying "our Democrary", they're saying "OUR Democracy." As in "OUR'S", no one else's. We dictate the rules, we say how things go, you shut up and listen, WE will decide what is good and bad, and you'll like it. Any attempt to escape their control or, god forbid, be free will be met with a veritable chorus of, "This is very dangerous to our Democracy."
