Ron Paul and Walter Jones and even Dennis Kucinich were Statesmen. I may have disagreed with Kucinich, but he was a Patriot. The same could even be said about Ralph Nader, I may have disagreed with him, but he was a Patriot. I want Patriots who think for themselves and do not do the bidding of the Uniparty or the Deep State.
I think it’s more of a semantic argument, in the same way that people on right wing websites love to complain about “liberals,” even though the people they’re complaining about are far from liberals.
When I think of libertarian, I’m thinking about the ideology more than the political party. I’m referring to the “Political Compass” concept that rejects the purely left-vs-right paradigm and uses a quadrant to plot Authoritarian vs Libertarian on the Y-axis and Economic Ideology on the X-axis.
You’ll always have your people who use party affiliation as camouflage (RINOs, DINOs, etc.) but don’t really subscribe to their party’s current ideology. IMO, true libertarianism is party agnostic and will likely have elements that probably wouldn’t fly in either of the two major parties. Given the state both of those parties are in, I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
It is semantics, that's true. I once called myself a "libertarian" but haven't related with other self-identified "libertarians" in years. I actually took one of those political compass "quizzes" like 10 years ago and it gave me very slightly lean right and high up with higher being more libertarian and lower being more authoritarian. Most of my friends (using the word friends loosely, primarily facebook people) who call themselves libertarians are massive anti-trump people and just shill super hard for everything pro-leftist or anti-trump. Many things they support are almost as opposite from libertarian as it gets like being in favor of free speech restrictions, gun restrictions and other things just because orange man bad. That is of course just anecdotally in my own circle of people but I have noticed this phenomenom in online groups as well, most notably reddit but of course we already know they are full of commies and non-Americans in general too.
Your path is not an uncommon one for those that looked for the news in other places than the MSM since Ron Paul ran in 2008. The red pill does that for people, we need more to take it, but many Democrats have walked away, and some centrists are now waking up too.
Ron paul running for prez was the very first taste of "big media vs internet" that I ever witnessed. I was seeing WAVES of support for him online, but media essentially shut him out.
If widespread election fraud / Dominion does indeed come out and shake the core foundations of elections around the world, we need to DIG into the past and uncover the data to show how people like Ron Paul were shafted, and hell, even Bernie was shafted, during their runs. I'm really hoping this is the killing blow to the neocon reign!
All Ron Paul supporters were red-pilled when Jon fucking Stewart called out the MSM for ignoring Ron Paul when he was doing great. They wouldn't even put his name on their infographics. Bitter pill to swallow. That's how scared they are of REAL Patriots. They were scared to even say the name RON PAUL!
Ron also wasn't rich, powerful, and as well-known as Trump. For those reasons the media knew they couldn't completely ignore Trump (and major internet platforms were not as well-censored back then), but the establishment staked their bets on Trump being an easy loss. And they were wrong.
As someone who isn't very religious, I have pretty much gone in on the notion that this is a war between good and evil, and we are watching God vs Satan in action.
We know God doesn't want us to kill, and we also don't want to kill. But Satan continuously drives us both to the brink and has caused deaths already.
Never rely on the authorities to protect you or yours. They are only in place to protect the interests of those who pay their wages. You would think that would be taxpayers, but they see it as politicians.
Agreed. I do not trust government, but I support it insofar that they provide the rule of law and societal order to maintain the protections afforded under the Constitution. The Democrats, the uni-Party GOP’ers, the Deep State, and the MSM hate Americans. Allowing this kind of bull shit to happen proves how much they hate the Patriotic American. Like a man yelled at the D.C. police, “PICK A SIDE.” I don’t want a war, but when you begin to attack the elderly, women, and children you’ve not just gone too far, you’ve gone beyond what I can stomach as an American.
Most officers are scared to be the next Derek Chauvin: Tried and convicted in the court of public opinion for doing their job and having someone record and distort it
This was all setup intentionally, and seems to be working on a few here.
The left's goal is to now make the police our enemy as we're attacked and they can't or will not help us, even when there is no evidence of us being the aggressors.
Soon, we will see more and more Trump supporters being attacked, murdered and maybe dismembered. The skirmishes start between the left and right, small pockets of people start it. The cops step in under orders, but they only arrest Trump supporters.
Now it becomes "clear" to Trump supporters that cops don't care about us. Then one of two events happens.
The left attack cops dressed as Trump supporters and kill a few of them, or Trump supporters actually kill cops.
Either way, the cops come down on the right, and the process just get's worse with LEO's and their families being targeted.
Now comes the military.
This is the stage we're at in this attempted overthrow of the U.S.
These same tactics were used in Yugoslavia and Ukraine right after bad elections (rigged elections).
you mean more of us in jail? What kyle did was heroic, but sadly he illegally had his firearm due to a stupid strawman purchase. (at least that is what is reported).
These things following them are hyenas. NEVER LET LEFTISTS FOLLOW YOU AROUND. Stand up to them tell them to fuck off or find out. That is the only option!
When you’re young, somebody that appeals to your ideals of trying to change the world and creating a better place are strong motivators. When President Obama won, it was a presidency fueled by promising the impossible. His version of impossible was to tax the shit out of you, so others could have Obamaphones and healthcare at your expense. He was a generous Marxist and Keynesian.
Nobody can fault you for voting for him twice. Many people believed his Siren call.
Spot on. His "differentness" and promises appealed to me. Only halfway into his second term did I start getting confronted with undeniable evidence that he was just more establishment bullshit. Then a series of events (including GamerGate) made me confront most of my beliefs and here I am, conservative, gun-loving, not religious but no longer hateful of it ("atheism" get fucked), and seeing abortion as tragic and indicative of irresponsible lifestyles enabled by evil amoral politicians. I could go on, but you get the idea. I was not raised wih half the beliefs I have now.
My red pill moment that moved me to have seething hatred for the Left? They claim to be the party of SCIENCEtm, but they deny that a human being cannot change their biological sex. A man will never be a woman, a woman will never be a man. DNA and the composition of XY chromosomes prevent that possibility, only rarely are there genetic anomalies that retard a biological sex. However, I’m told I have to accept Transgenderism like Biology 101? That is patently false and enrages me. When the Democrats started going after the children saying hormone sterilizing therapies are okay and legal if a child wants it, like Joe Biden said in his town hall, that turned me into the Hulk with rage. Usurping both biology and parental rights for pedophile sociological claims from Dr. John Money should be a common goal of medical rejection for all Americans, but one side supports the degeneracy and the Conservative side is appalled by it.
In the current two-party system, unfortunately, the vote for the Libertarian candidate would absolutely be a waste vote and would, eventually bring more government. Just look at Nadler and how he brought Bill Clinton.
The "new" "libertarian" ideas do look like a controlled opposition mean to chip away the votes of purists.
Not sure about Kucinich. He is now opposing Trump. The thing about Trump is that we know that he is not perfect. Never was, never will be. But at this situation he is the best thing that we have got, and, quite frankly, perfect for the JOB that he is hired.
Yes, Ron was too old, but he is a forefather of the Tea party. His son is now a solid senator.
We jokingly discuss about Trump being Ron Paul on steroids.
Keep in mind Ron Paul did run under Republican party ticket. If you have noticed a lot of his ideas are being implemented - ending wars, promoting trading between nations. Further, by making changes to taxation, DJT reduced federal taxes, by pushing potential taxation to the state level - where the spending belongs.
There is a lot of work: monetary and fiscal policy, election corruption, anti-democratic tech monopoly, uncontrolled illegal immigration.
I am not sure what R will be able to present as a candidate in 2024. Can we find another candidate with bigger than life charisma, energy and passion.
Right or wrong i vote republican in national elections and libertarian in local elections, libertarian is my leaning and i will always support Ron Paul
I’ll never criticize a person for voting their conscience. Some people are sick of the “lesser of the evils” narrative and refuse to conform. For them, casting a vote for a person just because they’re not as bad as their opponent is a throw-away.
If you think about it, the game theory in the USA presidential elections is quite basic.
If one chooses to vote 3rd party, that has no chances, most likely you will end up contributing to the democrat party, which really does not support you having your own independent free will nor conscience.
The Democrat vs Republican system is a shell game. Trump ran under the Republican flag but hardly fits the mold.
If Trump decided to run in 2024 even against a strong and well-funded Republican and presumably Kamala Harris (or whichever horse the Dems decide to ride), are you saying you wouldn’t vote for him? Because if he does, there’s a real chance he could find himself in a strange no man’s land between Ross Perot (who won almost 20% of the popular vote in 1992) and where he ended up this year (which is losing the popular vote for a second time).
I’d probably vote for him again even if he was one of three choices and wasn’t being given good odds.
Ron Paul was given no chance by the media, but he is what we need more of. Trump is great, but we need more Ron Paul. If Trump would legalize weed before the start of his second term, it would be EPIC.
absolutely. he would have had numbers never seen before. But for some reason he went with the side of prohibition. really disappointing, especially after he legalized hemp.
Trump is, big government, manipulated interests, government checks, type of guy. Yet he rolled back wars, and called out some of the issues. We do need fiscal sanity.
Since media is controlled by those who benefit from wars and government controls, there is no chance Ron Paul types would ever be supported or even considered, except for the Nadler types that siphon Republican votes.
How do you even debate with the public: One candidate says: we need to expand our infrastructure, build railways, aeroports, power lines. Other candidate is saying we need to be frugal.
Ron Paul was pivotal in creating the Great Awakening. Trump was the only viable option after Ron Paul was pushed out. Pres. Trump has done an excellent job with all of the disenfranchised and his business mentality helped him be the greatest of all time
I only watched Fox because it seemed to be just a contra point to the constant gravy slurping for the Democrats that went on at the major media outlets. When I discovered OANN five years ago and NewsMax within the last couple of years, they were a welcomed change that I needed for something (besides Tucker) to provide a different point of view.
The next larping ninja that gets in my grill better fucking be a master in ninjitsu like master splinter or hes going to be carried by 13 cucks that will be struggling.
Man, I donated to and voted for Obama in 2008. Was all about Ron Paul in 2012. Donated to and wrote in Bernie Sanders in 2016 (I live in MD, it will never go red). I am still actually registered Democrat and again voted for Bernie in the primaries this year. I know, you can disagree with me about Bernie, that's fine, I get it, not here to be berated about that - and to be honest I really don't know who I would have chosen if it was Sanders v Trump. Unlike most (ex) lefties, I never had this hard on for hatred against Trump. But you bet your god damn ass I voted for Trump this year over Biden.
Point is... I'm an ex lefty. The DNC did this to themselves by rigging primaries. Then the left co-opted BLM and Antifa while simultaneously saying Antifa was just an idea and ignoring their rioting and looting. And now it appears they may have legitimately tried to steal the election. And after the last 5-6 years of watching the left go absolutely insane, I finally understand my parents generations support for someone like Reagan. Trump isn't typical GOP, but I believe he has truly transformed the GOP and if they can keep up and stay in point, well, it may just be time for me to change my party affiliation officially.
Bernie’s position on labor and protection of the American worker from foreign nationals taking jobs via H-1B visas was always right. His opposition to free trade deals was right too. I HATE free trade, free trade undermines agriculture and industry and did so from the moment NAFTA became law. Being a part of the WTO and CAFTA also creates a massive problem with free trade. The TPP, had President Trump not won, would have become law and we would have had our Chinese overlords more quickly. Bernie was also anti-war too.
However, Bernie sold his soul in 2016 for money. He was not like Ron Paul, Bernie was bought and paid for in 2016 and all of his language in 2020 was hollow. President Trump follows Republicanism in what it was like under Robert Taft in the 1950s. Trump’s form of Republicanism is actually over 70 years old. When you say you understand your parent’s version of Reagan Republicanism, you really are understanding Goldwater Republicanism. Barry Goldwater is where Donald Trump derives his Republicanism. Robert Taft is where Trump derives his Republicanism. Embrace the Republicanism of where you maintain peace through strength without war mongering. Embrace practical economic policies of keeping more of your hard earned money instead of allowing the government to piss away your tax dollars. Embrace protecting the Middle Class and Trumpism to provide wealth for all through higher paying jobs and new entrepreneurial industries to make the Lower Class, Middle Class, the Middle Class, Upper Class, the Upper Class, top 1% through hard work and innovation, not redistribution. Embrace protecting the American worker with economic protectionist policies that benefit Americans instead of taking jobs and food away from Americans.
You may be a former Bernie-bro, that’s okay, Trump Republicanism will gladly accept you, I do. Welcome to the party that now chooses America First instead of China First.
Yes! Everything you said is why I liked Bernie (visas, NAFTA) and you are correct about him selling out.
And, practical when it comes down to it... Trump was the first president in like 50 years or something to increase wages for the bottom 50% of America faster than the top 50% in terms of percentage increase. I remember seeing that in a Financial Times article. And his scrapping of NAFTA and brining supply chains back over to America are good moves. Trump's economy speaks for itself.
About a decade ago I was voting for the leftmost party in Canada, the NDP.
Although they were fairly different then, and even the "centrist" party has gone full communist clown world now. I still lean a bit left of center on paper, but I would never vote for anyone other than the conservative party now because everyone on the political left has seemed to have gone crazy as fuck.
If I lived in the states I would not only be voting for Trump, but I would also be doing everything I could to spread the good word.
Not at all, if it can be helped. Talk to any veteran, that is a last resort. The same could be said about the Founders. They wanted to continue Olive Branch petitions, but, even then, they knew what would happen if they were rebuffed by the Crown.
His foreign policy book “A Foreign Policy of Freedom” was formative in my support for Dr. Paul. His most important line in that book was you can’t exchange bullets for butter.
Same here. Was definitely a Ron Paul guy. The new libertarians are just libturds.
Yeah I liked Ron Paul a lot - he's the man. I was rooting for Nader too - another patriot. Trump is the only one who was tough enough though .
If you're looking for great Rob Paul Libertarians to listen to.
Here's a few off the top of my head:
Kucinich is one of the few Dems I liked.
I mean, he was a bit out there, but he genuinely cared about the American worker. I always remember that about him.
Libertarians should be supporting Trump
That’s a ridiculous thing to say.
If you haven't noticed leftists have hijacked the libertarian movement you haven't been paying attention. It's full of commie shills now.
I think it’s more of a semantic argument, in the same way that people on right wing websites love to complain about “liberals,” even though the people they’re complaining about are far from liberals.

Beautiful! Thank you for this.
We're all sinners, brother. Only Jesus can provide salvation. Praying for you.

You know what's sad? They were attacking the elderly during the 2016 election and after too. Pepper spraying them, knocking them down, etc.
Like the Baltimore man that got bricked.
not all departments are created equally. If they are videoed showing 'favoritism', they will be fired.

After voting Trump twice, I would slap the shit out of younger me.

Love has no labels, bigot! Reeeee!
These videos remind me of why I don't go to political events. I, like many other people, would not be able to control my temper.
I’d have a very hard time controlling mine too. I can’t stomach violence against vulnerable people.
Always keep your ego in check. Self defend when needed on a clean slate.
Idk a single dem who was a republican.
Know plenty opposite
Why would you ever flip to having money taken out of your wallet?

same here except for a weird Bernie phase in college.
Ron Paul was pivotal in creating the Great Awakening. Trump was the only viable option after Ron Paul was pushed out. Pres. Trump has done an excellent job with all of the disenfranchised and his business mentality helped him be the greatest of all time
I used to support Ron Paul. I still do but I used to too.
Moderate is far, FAR right by today's "standards".
Ron Paul got me watching Republicans after leaving the Dem party.
Good. He was a great introduction to what the GOP used to be.
Really the Ron Paul revolution is still going on. It just merged into the Trump movement.
I bet being back on the opposite side to FOX News is refreshing.
I only watched Fox because it seemed to be just a contra point to the constant gravy slurping for the Democrats that went on at the major media outlets.
It'll be hard to Trust anything else without you frens

A vote for a Democrats is a vote for the Marxist take over of America.
Police are and always have been terrorists by general definition.

Time to stack?
Not at all, if it can be helped. Talk to any veteran, that is a last resort. The same could be said about the Founders. They wanted to continue Olive Branch petitions, but, even then, they knew what would happen if they were rebuffed by the Crown.
thank you. Clearly you are a true RON PAUL fan!
His foreign policy book “A Foreign Policy of Freedom” was formative in my support for Dr. Paul. His most important line in that book was you can’t exchange bullets for butter.
