You can’t ruin a spring by compressing it or stretching within the elastic bounds of the material it’s made of. And a compressed spring will not fail over time - only through fatigue failure or drastically overloading it, which won’t happen if the spring is just sitting there. Or if you’re drastically changing the temperature of the spring by hundreds of degrees thus changing the material properties of the spring.

Not loading the magazine fully is to keep it from double feeding or otherwise jamming on the first few rounds, which isn’t a problem in well made mags.

Edit: Also I meant to add: if storing a spring under any pressure caused it to fail, springs would fail constantly in nearly every application they’re used in. If they fail just due to time plus a load, it would not matter if the mag is fully loaded, half loaded or just had one bullet - they would still fail. Even when the mag is empty, the spring is under a load just by being confined physically in the mag. And people keep bullets in their concealed carry during 99% of the life of the mag and it doesn’t fail.

No problem. People need to know.

That’s funny, I got my mech engineering degree and decided to become a cop. I wasn’t into guns when I came out of college, but I should’ve went to work for a gun company lol. And that sounds like you bread your head into the wall for a living haha

prayinpede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Besides if it were true, what good does an unloaded mag do you if you need it?

I said well made mags don’t do that. If you think magpul is in that category I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you’re a moron.

Dude intense pressure and heat changes the properties of the material, I already said that. If you want to be a jackass faggot, then no amount of engineering or materials science is gonna help you.

Daniel Defense? I never paid attention to the dd4 series, I'm more a .308 guy so pardon my ignorance. I just never saw a handguard that bolts on that way except for their dd5 308/6.5 platform

3
Toe30330 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

ya its a dd4, DD does it with this rail and on the ris II handguard that goes on their mk18 and m4a1. it works well, but personally i like the geissele rails the most

Willholbert09 1 point ago +1 / -0

I love my ddm4.. you must have long arms for that foregrip position.

"Shall not be infringed": the fringe is the edge.

Aka "not even a little bit, not even at the edges."

We've got a whole bunch of unconstitutional gun laws to repeal.

Paul_Revere 2 points ago +2 / -0

And an ATF to defund.

This is cool.

My god how long are your arms to have that grip so far forward. We have the longest pedes

Did the Trump website sell a hat with his hair on top? How did I miss that? Cause that is awesome.

1
Pray_for_Trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

I would argue that since we can't own fully functional tanks, attack choppers and F-16's, that our right to bear arms is already being infringed.

Really like this AR set up, simple relatively compact and minimalist.

Shut up and stick around for a couple weeks if you want to become one of us.

We are already perfectly aware of the complicity of the media. They wanted narratives people could latch on to.

Obama famously won the 2012 election with the fewest number of counties ever, in the mid-600s. Now you want to tell me that Biden won with record-breaking votes, 8 million more than 2012 Obama, when he won fewer than 500 counties? GTFOutta here.

You want to tell me that despite performing worse than Hillary in virtually every major metro area, Biden was carried past the line by Milwaukee, Philly, and Detroit, who all had unprecedented, dictatorial levels of voter turnout (including 200% turnout in some Milwaukee wards?) Fuck outta here.

We already know the media prepared you to interpret things this way. You are their pawn. They own your mind and they convince you that it's still yours, like all ownership under communism. That doesn't lend any credibility to the story you present.

annualpurge 2 points ago +3 / -1

Awww... What about Antifa/BLM rioting, why didn't they "riot" or "protest" by mail only? Did the media not tell them that?

How dumb do you have to be not to see the blatant fraud? Of course, Biden wins if he knows how many votes he needs to add. But if Biden won, why are you here? Go celebrate with your friends. Draw 6-foot circles if you have to (although ironically the 'Joe Biden' celebrations didn't follow any CDC guidelines post-election; I guess the virus disappeared after the election).

Well, the left has been screaming "Russia" for the past 4 years and that our elections have been compromised. But then all of a sudden our elections are fair? If Trump legitimately lost, then I will accept it, but there are hundreds of affidavits from witnesses of how republican poll watchers were prohibited from watching.

And since when does the media get to call the election?
