only thing missing is the US Constitution pocket book!

If Joe Biden gets into office, then the US Constitution no longer protects us.

Baretta PX4 Storm. I own one but it uses .40 cal. That looks like a 9mm version, which is more popular for some reason.

Do non-profits first, thats where the big scams happen. 90% of them are corrupt.

Edit: maybe not 90% "corrupt", but 90% are either corrupt, scammy, shady or useless.

The explodey one's book is not just a religion, it's also a political manifesto.

We have the best non-religious Pedes, do we not? THIS is actual tolerance. Not the soft tyranny of permissive degeneracy.

I just bought the King James Bible and I am having trouble getting through Genesis page 1. But my view of God is not defined by a book. For me God is Lord, and Jesus was a great man and son of God like every one of us.

4
timetocrush 4 points ago +4 / -0

Jesus is THE Son of God. Wait til you get to the end of the book when Jesus lays out the whole NWO plan and how he's going to destroy it. I also read the KJV. Just keep reading is all I can say. The bible comes alive.

2
Willholbert09 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have some free time next week, I'll crack it open and start pushing through.

3
timetocrush 3 points ago +3 / -0

I started with the New Testament. So when I went through the OT I saw Jesus throughout it. All the prophesies.

2
Willholbert09 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wait, is there an order I should be taking? If so please provide some insight so I can get the best experience possible.

3
timetocrush 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah I'd say start with the NT. The OT is hard to understand without knowing Jesus and God's plan for salvation through Jesus the Messiah. Even Genesis will make sense when God said "Let us make man in our image". The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is all explained in the NT.

Willholbert09 1 point ago +1 / -0

Machete order for the Bible... only this timeline

4
Hardcouer 4 points ago +4 / -0

Suggestion:

Get an NASB or NKJV or ESV if you're a confident reader, NIV if you're average, or CSB if you struggle with books. The best translation is the one you actually read, although if you are a really strong reader, 'formal equivalence' translations are best.

Read Genesis until Adam and Eve leave the garden.

Skip the rest and read the Gospels, or even just Mark or Luke, as they were written for unbelievers.

Then skip to Rev 22 on the last page to see what God has planned in the end.

Now you know how we cocked it all up, how God fixed it and saved you, and how it will all end.

Then go and read it all through.

1
Willholbert09 1 point ago +2 / -1

It is hard for me to get past the "then God made the stars and the Sun" stuff. It's a childlike view of things with modern knowledge. But I am planning on dedicating some time this next week, hopefully I will get traction.

1
Hardcouer 1 point ago +2 / -1

It's not, really. There are 101 defensible forms.

Maybe He set up physical laws with the express purpose of harboring life (see: arguments from fine tuning; there are loads of physical constants that only need to be tweaked by a fraction and you end up with just a mess of subatomic particles).

Personally, I'm an automation engineer (and former inorganic chemist) and think the universe is something like His software simulation. When you play any computer game with a procedurally generated world, things are created in categories in a way that is optimal for the creator, not in sequential, time bound order that obeys the created world's internal laws.

In my day job, I regularly take control systems that follow perfectly repeatable logic and insert live values that cause them to 'jump' to a different state (e.g. after a mechanical failure, when a control system is stuck in a catch 22). If you 'lived' inside my PLCs you could extrapolate backwards in time (or scan count) to past states 100% rationally and precisely...and wrongly.

Basically, you will end up with a Bible that is as silly as you want it to be if you decide in advance that it's dumb and you're going to assume the author was stupid. That's how books work.

I was an atheist at one point, for me the Gospels were the works that changed my mind.

You know people who are true believers will never hold it against you because we know you'll eventually find out what we already have. And no I cannot prove that or anything it is simply just my faith.

And yes I have gone through a long period in my life I thought I was athiest as well. So I would never think less of someone who denies the existence of God.

8
legendy 8 points ago +9 / -1

12
AWeekendAtBidens 12 points ago +13 / -1

Even as an agnostic I cannot ignore: the moral vacuum that receding christianity left in the States was filled with sinister leftist ideologies. No one can deny the rapid moral decay on all levels of society. Christianity was a ward against that.

7
loverat 7 points ago +8 / -1

I to classify myself as agnostic and this is precisely what I also think. Socialism/Marxism/Communism just replaces God with the ideology of the State as the Godhead. That's why their first actions are to tear down the prevailing religion of the culture they are infesting.

0
Thehonkswamp 0 points ago +1 / -1

US atheists are pretty insufferable as a group, overseas ones aren't (all) so bad - several Eastern Europe countries went very atheist in wake of communism but the people there still hate commies and are pretty based otherwise, if pessimistic in some places.

I've always been treated well by the Christians in my life even if they disagreed with me, they've always been polite but honest. I prefer that to fake niceness and acceptance anyhow.

Leftist atheists tend to dogmatically worship the state. Moral decay is a tool of the globalists, it isn't just that it's filling the vacuum left by Christianity, there are motives for them to push this decay on society - single, unhappy people spend much more than married, happy couples and consume more media, are more likely to be dosed up on antidepressants (which kill your libido, man or woman), are more willing to vote and push for the society to live in to be changed.

2
Butthurt 2 points ago +2 / -0

I used to be atheist, now I’m agnostic but I believe Christianity is one of the most important parts of our culture. I believe in a god, more of a deus ex machina type god though. More of a leviathan intelligence that feels nothing

2
RegularAmerican 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree with alot of your sentiment. And I won't downvote you even though I kinda disagree with your generalizations. I am a god fearing went to church every week kind of man. I've met alot of "Christians" who cannot tell the difference between God and the state either. I guess it doesn't matter how you classify your faith as much as how you adhere to it.

2
Thehonkswamp 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh there definitely is a lot of rot in the church, it's why my grandparents left, and looking at the Vatican you can see some of it comes from the top too, but when I say the Christians in my life I guess I should add I don't waste my time keeping assholes in my life.

But I've definitely found US atheists as a group a degree more insufferable than overseas, they tend to replace the more dogmatic aspects of US Christianity with other dogma. It's definitely not all, I'm friends with enough, but the tendency seems a bit bigger to me with them.

2
RegularAmerican 2 points ago +2 / -0

Have you ever thought looking into to life and teachings of our Lord? I'm not saying run and join a church you're not familiar with. But have you tried to speak to the father in prayer and believed that he's actually listening to you,? It feels so free
