It's even more than that, it's robbing us to fund their elite ecosystem

Remember when health insurance, student loans and mortgages were affordable? Then the government got involved?

Same as raising the minimum wage. Price of everything goes up with it.

From the currency reset they're pushing, that's what all of this is about. ..

That's fine. I want a refund for the money I paid though.

TheFountainhead 16 points ago +16 / -0

Do I get a 50,000 check then? Because that is what would be fair.

Jerseydeplorable 15 points ago +15 / -0

I’m willing to bet this won’t be blanket forgiveness. There will be a ton of strings attached and they will find some way to tie it to diversity so if you’re white you get nothing.

fclampazzo 3 points ago +3 / -0

For $50,000? I am about to become transracial.

They make it seem like all college students want their debts paid. I left college with 30k debt, it would have been 50k, but I worked during college and paid a nice chunk off. I got this.

2
2SmoothGQ 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wife and I each owe $30k. Wouldn’t imagine asking others to pay that. Also currently I would probably get charged more in taxes extra than what the payments are so I’d be behind lol

Nice try but no thanks. My student loans die with me but my children will die a thousand deaths under communism.

6
BoricuaPede 6 points ago +6 / -0

Paying off the student loans is just an enormous gift in kind to the corrupt friends of theirs who run the lending agencies with Federal backstop. A better idea is to make student loans dischargeable in bankruptcy. Watch the whole house of cards collapse overnight without spending a dime.

1
jetjetjet 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, it is messed up that student loans magically don't apply when someone declares bankruptcy.

My theory is that the Dems are pushing loan forgiveness because the honeypot for universities has dried up.

Most young adults realize student debt is a trap now and the Dems are trying to lure them back into unis.

Liberty_Prime 2 points ago +2 / -0

Its a present to the Campuses that created this Marxist mess.

2
MrRequiem 2 points ago +2 / -0

And that will only leave them 80k more in debt for their 3 major changes finally settling on a humanities major that has no real-world application besides crying about made-up slights.

They earned those jobs at Starbucks and deserve to be working them. No one held a gun to their head to take out the loans. No one is going to hold a gun to my head to pay for them.

redundantrope 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, I seem to remember some such as the congress holds the purse strings, being used against THE WALL. seems thats congress job.

2
DeplorableLadyPede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Since I have already budgeted properly and paid mine off in full, when can I expect my $50k check?

Aside from the fact that I repay my debts, and dont want my federal dollars going to footing someone elses bill-- I know some from college that intentionally took out HUGE student loans, lived like kings during college. Some of them ended up working for the state. I asked them why did you so vehemently seek public/state jobs-- Their answer was, in my state: if you work a public sector job for 10 years your student loans are WIPED. Guess who they voted for? Cmon man.

Some of them are exploiting forbearance, and deferral programs to pay back as little as possible before their 10 years are up. It boils my blood. Is my story common? Probably not, but im certainly jaded to giving a shit about forgiving someone elses debt with my money-- When i pay mine.

Biden wants to do a lot. This is certainly one he has NO chance of doing it without congress. Appropriations and all.

do I get a refund?

60% of people going to college go to get drunk, do drugs, and every other damn thing except to learn.

The Great Reset plan includes forgiveness of all debts. Is this is a first test, seducing people with free money towards globalist socialism?

1
cook_does 1 point ago +1 / -0

As someone who has paid 100% back on student loans + interest, fuck him

Well it pisses me off! I worked hard to pay my student loans and was proud when I finally accomplished it. I've always paid my debts and still to this day and without work due to the Covid show, I don't use credit - only debit. I've curbed my spending and only buy necessities and it sucks but I'm a proud man. At least I'm single with no children so I don't have dependants. ..noone suffers but me...and the hobby shop and my favorite restaurants and beer stores.

I'd be fine if this was limited to STEM fields...but you know that it'll include bullshit "studies" degrees. You know how many women in NYC proudly wave around their dual masters of fine arts in gender studies and liberal arts (basically useless degrees)? I'm not forgiving shit, I'd rather find another country to live in.

1
Comntrinchief 1 point ago +1 / -0

I stop paying taxes if this is done. It’s that simple.

1
MakeAmericaLegendary 1 point ago +1 / -0

If the government ever does this, take out a huge student loan immediately beforehand to offset the amount of taxes they'll end up charging you to pay for it.

1
fclampazzo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Can’t you just keep getting degrees until you die? Half the majors on campus are fluff majors. I can ace all of those classes and party.

1
MakeAmericaLegendary 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, but I'm going to figure out how to pocket most of that cash.

1
Sodium_miner 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m still paying mine. Less than 10K left. If you borrow money you owe it back. Fucking commie cocksuckers.

1
tom_of_rj_fame 1 point ago +1 / -0

I demand reparations!!!

1
Libertynfreedom4ever 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wait so I shouldn’t have paid for my own degree instead of going in debt? This is when we stop paying taxes
