She can’t do that. Supreme Court already ruled against her. She needs mental help hopefully the S.C. will come out tomorrow and clarify their ruling AGAIN.

She did it via the health department, the same way she got around the ruling earlier. So officially it’s the Michigan health department making these orders although really it’s coming directly from the Governor.

I don’t know why this argument is legitimate. Then health department is doing unconstitional.

From what I remember the courts ruling was very specific that the governor didn’t have that authority but there hasn’t been a ruling on whether or not the health department does as far as I know. I dunno, I’m not saying any of it is “right” or legal and I’m definitely not a lawyer. Just saying what she did to circumvent the ruling as I understand it.

Sure. It’s just people won’t take this. People will glad to get penalty and that should be enough to make people mad.

I don’t know what recourse small business owners are going to have. Most of them are struggling as it is and even if they attempt to defy orders and stay open, certainly their business will suffer even more. And if you’re a restaurant owner and the health department shows up and shuts you down for having indoor dining what do you do?

I really don’t know but it’s going to get very ugly. It doesn’t affect my job directly because I work for one of the big corporations she makes exemptions for but when small businesses die, everything around them dies eventually as well. 3 weeks almost certainly is going to turn into 2-3 months again too.

Business owners of MI should ban together and cite the Supreme Court Ruling and make a statement that they will ignore this order from the Gov.

This needs to be taken to the supreme court. The real supreme court.

Lockdowns are unconstitutional. Especially in this capacity. I don't care how strong or deadly a disease is. It should never be up to the government to stop people from working.

I think what would end this fucked up shit is if all the companies had to continue paying their employees. Couldn't fire or furlough anyone. Small businesses are already getting destroyed - let the big businesses suffer too.

I really hope this "woman" was involved in the Fraud and will spend the rest of her time in jail so she can see how the people of MI feel when she is destroying their lives.
