The problem is they haven't figured out WHY or HOW the virus is being transmitted. They're basing EvERYTHING on the 1918 Flu science because that's all they've got. (So much for nearly a century of R&D funding)
We have mandatory mask orders in place in my state and the infection rates are skyrocketing - the same mask orders that were in place over the summer and it didn't. That infers UV kills the virus and the masks and social distancing did NOTHING.
But remember - gotta believe the SCIENCE.
(oh and my state has consistently held a 1% death rate after the stacked nursing home infections. That's still not great but it's far from the plague they were hyping up.)
They are lying. Transmission is like any other cold virus. Masks can not stop a virus that is what 2 microns large? All a mask can do is reduce viral load when it is suspended in the air, However, reduction of viral load still means it is still up to your immune system to stop the virus.
Sweden was right to pursue a quicker herd immunity.
