Normally I would say you are absolutely correct, but the insane russian conspiracy theory based on outlandish fake information by a foreign asset that was funded by democrats is every bit as big of a scandal.
It really seemed to be a well oiled machinery. I can't imagine they'd just start all the various schemes at once. It probably was incremental - and certainly well coordinated and funded - and then they faced THE FIRST TIME EVER a solid brick wall that doesn't play their game.

And the media and social media had to play along IMMEDIATELY when necessary. Not only that - the questions about "will you accept the election results" were probably a (weak and stupid) setup as well.
