Talk about anything other than politics. Change the subject if they bring up politics. Actually enjoy each other's company and be a pleasant person to be around. It's not like you need to convince them to vote for President Trump at this point anyway.
Just being a normal person is showing them that the media is lying to them about Trump voters being evil psycho racists. That's one of the big advantages on our side. All we have to do is be normal. They're the ones that have to defend violent mobs in the streets, draconian lockdowns, degenerates reading to toddlers, "transitioning" eight year olds, allowing big corporations to silence their critics, and every other terrible thing going on in the world.
Their side is miserable by default. Show them that our side is happy, and they'll start to question which side they chose all on their own.
Well give it time. Either way time will help. You may have to avoid the subject for the time being since it is sticking point. If the court stuff shows in Trumps favor then all the court documents will be released the media won't be able to suppress it.
Nah but if you really want to help them... there is no point arguing. They've been programmed to react with hostility to anything that challenges their preconceptions.
The only way is through inception, make them question what they believe to be true. Don't say "this is why" as it directly challenges them, instead get them to start questioning things themselves. You may need to agree with them, say something like "yeah Trump is a mean guy, but why has he signed so many peace deals and fired all the war-mongerers from the party?". Little by little, chip away at that TDS, but remember don't challenge directly and it helps to level with them by agreeing on somethings.
For people with TDS, I'm always reminded of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", if they continue to lie about Trump, if he actually does something bad in the future, no one will believe them because of all the TDS in the past.
And remember...

This isn't just a US thing, this is happening the world over in western nations. I chalk it up to blind contentment, people have become fat and mentally lazy because generally speaking we have relative peace and plenty.
Institutions that stood for things have eroded. Meritocracy has been degraded. It's sad. The reality is, it isn't the BLM or Antifa people that lead to that. They're just militant idiots that will get snuffed out when the big dog gets let off the leash.
It's your average suburbanite who places misguided faith in the integrity of the media, they trust these institutions can't BS them and if they did some governing body they don't know exists but imagines that does will hold the media to account. They don't look into it further because they trust the system and worry about regular things like the rest of us, feeding families, paying bills, finding some time to enjoy life between work.
They don't want to plow free time into having to review the validity of the news they read. Sad part is, many of them are good people, just misinformed or not prepared to look beyond something meanwhile everything they do actually love will be picked away at piece by piece. Sad.
Casually ask them their opinion about what Trump has done for the national parks, Native Americans, black unemployment rate, etc. Most media won’t report these type accomplishments, bec these issues tend to appeal to libs.
I also have a father-in-law and most of their family that is much the same. He particularly can't get past the straight talk of Trump and views it as unpresidential. Doesn't matter what case of cognitive dissonance you deliver, won't get past it.
What do they think about all the great things Trump has done and keeping all his promises?
Is it just because they don't like the way he talks?
I don't understand people like that, who would rather have a corrupt, evil President just because he may talk nicer.
announce to them that you're gay.
Then, the next morning, tell them "Actually, I'm not gay. But I'm a Trump supporter!"
They'll be SO relieved that you're not gay that they'll overlook the Trump stuff.
"you don't need them to understand" - in that statement is the problem and the answer

12-gauge should do it?

I think most decent people understand how things work, family comes much before politics.
Pray for them.
I hammer the no new wars, peace in the middle east and bringing the troops home.
Whether they liked Obama, Bush, Clinton or Reagan, Trumps record for peace is better than all of them.
Who is against World Peace? What is more important?

They are about to receive a once in a millennium, involuntary red pill suppository, courtesy of the Trump team.
Believe me, they are going to hang their heads in shame once the truth of all this comes out.
