I recommended XP for an airgapped gaming machine making use of old hardware and people on the internet lost their shit. Using eol software for voting machines is fuckin insane.
Yes, the 4chan user who discovered this has said that they screenshot all of the employees that were visible to them prior to them “jumping ship.” https://i.imgur.com/Wu9ikgt.jpg
Get uBlock Origin, or better yet, use Brave browser to not see ad banners everywhere. Brave also protects a lot of your personal data being collected online.
I’ll never understand why anyone uses LinkedIn. It’s the biggest personal infosec vulnerability there is! Here let me share with the world where I work, who I work with, all my previous employers, where I went to school, the towns I used to live in...
What could go wrong putting all that information into a nice little package for anyone to use?
Honestly, I don’t see the harm in it. Anyone who wants to find that info can anyway, and it doesn’t include family info, current residence, contact info... the kind of things I’m more concerned about. My professional info is public record. I use it for networking, and it’s pretty effective for that.
Because instead of writing a bot that scans dozens of sites scraping data and then has to try and aggregate it under the correct identity, one can just scrape it all from LinkedIn and it's all nice and neat already. It's so easy a script kiddie could do it!
Before LinkedIn scammers would have to hack high school reunion databases and those companies that con people into buying "Who's Who" books.
Up to you. While it’s true with enough effort you can locate where someone works, that’s different than putting all that info together in an easy to scrape package. Present a bigger target and you’re easier to hit.
Lotsa truth there. I think the difference is that I don’t mind if they do. In fact, the same visibility that can be used to hurt me by a malicious person is also used to benefit my career. The risk is low enough and benefits are high enough to be a worthwhile gamble imo, but I freely admit it’s a judgment call that will change person to person and situation to situation.
Well, that's the question. You never know what is coming. Kevin Hart 10 years ago would NEVER have imagined that making a joke about his son playing with dolls would ruin his career.
I only bring this up because I want to illustrate that what you evaluate as risk today will not apply tomorrow.
Perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps as time wears on cybercriminals or malicious actors in general will stop leveraging your personal data to harm or extort you? Who knows?
I will follow my own advice and do my best to be a ghost on the internet for fear of what is coming, but everyone needs to make up their own mind on this.
I might be retarded. I'm trying to pull it up and it redirects me to the actual website to signup or login. Not many snapshots. In fact there is a bit of a gap in the timeline of snapshots between mid 2018 and 2020 november 10 being most recent for that page in particular. I am thinking employee numbers referenced from a linkedin page is wrong to go. People are better off using tax records to cross reference and who is still there. If 4chan is on the case they probably found easier methods to find that sort of data.
Most definitely.
SPEZ: Scrubbing their own ranks would likely just result in disgruntled former employees with a bone to pick, seeking amnesty in exchange for revenge.
Rats abandoning ship.
Anyone who developed and peddled such a flimsy piece of software that can silence millions of people are all evil.
It's hard to believe they were using like a 12 year old obsolete OS without proper security patches
Minimum effort. Maximum profit.
Is it though?

Probably for plausible deniability
They may try but the internet is forever. You know Trump’s lawyers have all the info.

4chan is invited to the BBQ!
4chan spots the rats fleeing for their guilty little lives! THEY KNOW IT!!!
4chan: "look at us, we the FBI now"
They litterally ARE!! ❤️
4chan won me over with the legendary battle of the flag..... that was amazing.
I could not have been more impressed with how they kept tracking SLB down. I mean seriously, matching wood grain to holiday cabin photos... WOW.
Did they ever break 12 hours?
“Nothing Beyond Our Reach”-/pol
y I try to let it slide when I'm angry at an Otaku.
4chan saves the world again.
They are saved! Here's the thread: https://boards.4chan.org/pol/thread/291004431/
And here are the direct links to images from 4chan OP: https://i.4pcdn.org/pol/1605509669692.png https://i.4pcdn.org/pol/1605509806893.png https://i.4pcdn.org/pol/1605509843167.png https://i.4pcdn.org/pol/1605509877035.png
Are those images stable? Or do they disappear after a while on 4chan?
Not stable. Save them for records.
Done.

Thx! Always good to have double+plus archived ;)
Nothing is stable. Always archive.
Good Lord! Warn a guy!! I clicked to check it out and there's this giant Anime banner, and lemme tell you, THAT WASN'T MISSIONARY!!
4chan = “there be dragons.“ Always come with eye bleach prepared, and never click on a work computer.

Got both! Thanks man!
Is there a list of names of who was deleted?

I thought ppl used LinkedIn to get laid
I have a friend who said she gets more propositions than job offers over Linkedin, so you're probably not wrong.
I'm so glad I'm paranoid.
Paranoia is irrational. Not trusting Microsoft and Zuckerberg with your most sensitive and personal info is just common sense.

Agree on all points.
Got to appreciate them narrowing down the research field, obviously start with these first!
Yes
a tad bit late to be covering your tracks at this point
Their job interviews probably go like
"listen, I don't need you now to evaluate my skills or approve my hiring.
I'll need you later to transfer this sum in this bank account at the beginning of every month"
not suspicious at aIl lol. like cockroaches scattering when you turn on the lights
They never thought he would lose.
Maybe they used Dominions algorithm to do the employee count?
Underrated comment
Yep, They be in trouble.
Saw it on 4chan, had to post it here

Can we go back and pull the missing employees? Way back archive machine?

Whoa, how did you get that?

Hang every traitor!
Are we sure this isn't just because the election is over? Kind of like how department stores staff up for Christmas.
Could be people who don’t want their resumes tainted?
Could be people who don’t want their taint reamed?
Found the guilty ones
Really hope this is something big, and not another Hunter Biden dick parade.
GEOTUS and Co about to fuck them long dick style.
I noticed this too. The employees are scrubbing identifying info from social media.
RELEASE THE KRAKEN
Switched their employee list up faster than they switched Trump votes to Biden.
Yup, LI Sales Navigator says 137 ees
I really love the organic supercomputer of 4chan.
Any potential whistle blowers amongst the 97 people who have jumped ship?
No whistle blowers?
That's o.k.
That's what subpoenas are for.
Hey Sydney or Rudy ...
Nobody wants to be associated with it. We will see leadership start going on trips to Europe soon.
noice
let's peruse
Irs statements. Thanks to the Democrats, there is now precedent to NOT have privacy (: congratulations on playing yourselves demons!
They're fucked.
Criminals shouldn't use linked-in as you can see it brings attention to them when they go in hiding.
If I were them I’d seriously think about private security. The DState won’t want them talking.
Smoke e’m out! They can’t escape.
The way back machine?!
And my Facebook sleuthing has begun! Kay stimpson VP of government affairs: August 12, 2020 changed her profile picture to Biden Harris 2020 - odd.
Trump Team need to get law enforcement to supeona Microsoft right now to get access to the information on all of those accounts!
"Well they were freelance consultants so technically they weren't employees per se"
Excellent find!
