Jesus is the answer. Jesus is the perfect and undeserved sacrifice for our sins. His Blood and Suffering satisfied God's wrath. He is a Gift of Grace - all we have to do is repent and accept the gift. Jesus is our freedom from the punishment we deserve.

And for this intervention to be successful depends on how big of an ask it is and how much the praying man BELIEVES it will come true. Positive energy (optimism) enables God's power. Negative energy (pessimism) disables it. We need true believers to pray and to trust their prayers will happen. For a big ask, the prayers must be repeated often.
