It must be proven the votes come from a real person. It's not the other way around. To be audited, the votes must be verifiable - attached to a real person and time stamped. Without the envelopes, it's impossible to do that. That's why the law requires keeping the envelopes and examining the envelopes in the presence of observers, verifying the vote is legit, before counting it.
If any one step is omitted, if any one part of the law is violated, the vote must be discarded. That's the law.
All those ballots MUST BE THROWN OUT
They should, especially if that was part of the fraud, to destroy the envelopes that show when they came in.
No judge is going to throw out 100,000 votes, unless they are convinced the vote does not come from a real person.
They certainly can if the votes have been deliberately spoiled so that they cannot be properly audited.

Yeah they will. In '94 the court found cheating and didn't throw out the votes. They actually went beyond that and seated the challenger instead.
Was there as much resistance then though? I can't see them doing that now.
