I used to work for a local newspaper. I proofread and created the lay out for the news stories. Outside of the local news (schools, clubs, marriages, obits, the like) and opinion columns, ALL the other news wasn't written by any of the reporters or editors; they didn't even really look at it (and let me tell you...proofreading their work was quite the time consumer!). It all came in from AP and Reuters and was cut and pasted into a column that would fit the layout. Even the county-wide news usually came from the parent company, sent out to all its affiliates. Nobody wrote anything. That's why it all looks the same, down to the same headlines -- because it is the same.

All media sources did this (do this). Ron Burgundy is real; journalism is dead.

By the way: that job was 20 years ago +/- a few years; it was that bad then; I'm sure it's worse now!

You're welcome. I've been telling people this for years (about 20, to be precise). All the news comes from a couple of big news conglomerates; has for quite some time. That's why the reporting has gotten so shitty (well, plus the insertion of opinion into news articles: it's remarkably easy to do, and they aren't "lying" exactly...just arrange/include/word the information so as to guide the average person's thoughts).

Better info is, James Woods did NOT do this. This is an OLD video, been in circulation for years.

AP and Reuters have been compromised years ago as well.

Control the narrative control the mass

And thank you, pede, for understanding semicolons and comma splices. I see that shit in "professional" articles every day.

You're welcome. I am an English teacher by profession. I may not write with perfect grammatical syntax all the time, but this is a forum (thus, a certain level of informal, free flow of diction)...and I try not to be (too much of) a grammar nazi.

I've got a short story for you.

In my senior year in highschool I was the teacher's aide for one of the English teachers. He asked me to proofread his students work. The amount of red marks on each paper was so intense that no one could get a decent grade. I failed his entire class. That was 20 years ago.

I agree. Just writing on forums or casual settings, no big deal, but if you consider yourself a professional and can't even get basic English right in your publications, that's a problem.

Oh, try English teachers who teach their students to comma splice and don't know how/when to use perfect verb tense! Seriously, walked past a colleague's class once and sure enough (fml). Fortunately he quit; unfortunately my other colleagues and I spent an entire semester reteaching kids how to write sentences correctly (and I don't know if we were entirely successful).

Thanks. I get the feeling something very bad is happening and nobody knows who the had of the snake is.

Already happened; it remains to be seen if the world has noticed it in time and has the will/ability to correct it.

Not to rain on the parade but this has been going on for years. I've seen many of these videos, sadly.

John Stewart ran these regularly when G W Bush was president.

I think this may be a tipping point. Can't you feel the walls closing in?

Yeah its a couple years old, but more relevant now than ever. They were planting the seeds for big tech Ministry of Truth well ahead of the 2020 election.

Local news is much more insidious than the MSM because they try to come across as your "local" buddies who would never lie to you. Their tagline is always, "Your trusted source..." Turn off the news, get it yourself from other sources. Kinda like thedonald.win!
