Kraken means so many things. I’m sure when Powell said that, the deep state, crapped their pants. Obama’s even begging for trump to secede .

It's located at the federal research facility in Oak Ridge. The same place they invented the first nuclear bombs in ww2.

kekkk 27 points ago +28 / -1

Records show it was retired and decommissioned in April of 2014.

Isaiah53 [S] 81 points ago +81 / -0

I'm in TN.

It is now considered the third largest supercomputer in the world. It used to be #1.

The issue with Obama was that he was ordered to stop spying through it, but he really didn't. They "decommissioned" it on paper, not in reality.

canuckastani 36 points ago +36 / -0

Decommissioned it...like with a cloth?

What difference, at this point, does it make?

Can I get a source to read up on its current functionality.

Oak Ridge is a very interesting place. It was basically built in just a few weeks during ww2, made to look like an actual neighborhood, to throw off Getman and Russian spies. The researchers moved there with their families. Schools and all went up virtually overnight.

The research facility at its core, though, was top secret clearance only. It's still like that, but works in conjunction with selected acedemics. Getting info is tough, because of the clearance level involved.

That person is an idiot. He was the asshole that converted plain text to hex and acted like he had broken some major code

4

Can confirm. Locals are odd about it as well. Ask too many questions and you get iced out. Get in with them and you see the difference. Security is off the charts.

Trump understands the 12th amendment. So did Hillary when she told, Biden not to concede. Hopefully this goes to congress

I keep imagining this....but in the worst way (ie, holed up on a self sufficient compound, growing and hunting our own food....it starts off well, but ends up shoveling shit, washing in a stream and chopping wood.) following a Trump succession to the new US of MAGA is a better fantasy, by far!

There have been rumors of a phone call from dominion to the Biden camp that the vote switching wasn’t going to get it done. That they needed to dump more mail in ballots.

If accurate, then it’ll be the easiest conviction in the court of public opinion ever.

18
Hallelujahjaffar 18 points ago +18 / -0

I think you are the only person I’ve seen mention this rumor. Do you have any links, sources, etc? Not calling you out as a larp but a source would be useful

Since I live in TN, and this computer was at the center of Obama's spying on foreign leader communications, and it was a big deal here in political news back then, a light bulb finally went off in my head.

3
TrumpsBigBalls 3 points ago +3 / -0

he was not talking to you...he was to Viewer01

All you're doing is saying...trust me...I lived in that city.

6
Isaiah53 [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

No.

What I am saying is that, when Obama was under fire for spying with this computer, it was a big deal here at that time.

Oak Ridge is a big community now. A lot of the community works in some capacity for the research center.

If the biggest employer in your town was suddenly involved in an international scandal, it's all anyone can talk about.

Also, it appears that last week the feds chained up the Athens, TN courthouse and wouldn't let anyone near it. This is, of course, the site of the Battle of Athens, after ww2, due to election fraud:

Recall it being from a Giuliani interview. If that is true, then I am guessing they were being monitored. That makes sense as Trump knew this was coming, even said so in the debate, and if he knew it was coming, he certainly has the resources at his disposal to catch it. It's what I would have done if i were in his situation.

5

If there's proof that the voting software people or the Biden team directly called for the stop of ballot counting, there should absolutely be convictions.

3
JaquesoCheese 3 points ago +3 / -0

Never underestimate the left’s ability to ignore self-incriminating evidence.

18
Choomguy 18 points ago +18 / -0

Dont know about that, but we know everyis recorded and stored somewhere. People had to communicate to pull this off, and like that coomer douche, they think deleting their Facebook posts gets rid of it.

The question is do we have friendlies who will give us that info? Everything is stored, its not looked at until you are suspect. Eg, you run a little weed business, you text about it, take venmo, etc. you are probably fine until you get pulled over with a few ounces of weed on you. That’s when they will start digging.

ShampocalypseWOW 1 point ago +1 / -0

I mean the NRO is 100% not like our most top secret agency.

Correct, it is not.

I am sure the NRO told the whole world what sensor and capabilities they put in it.

Well yeah, it's not a secret platform. You can use a telescope and see for yourself what it looks like and what sensors it has.

But then again the NRO doesnt require any clearances and pretty much anyone can get a job there

...dude, I literally use this satellite on a regular basis. It's a radar imaging satellite. It's not special and it's not super secret. The satellites that are, you never even hear about them.

9
CleanYourRoom 9 points ago +9 / -0

unlikely. it says it is used in research projects. probably not dedicated to 'spying'. the kraken may have been a metaphor but she seemed very deliberate in its use.

29
Isaiah53 [S] 29 points ago +29 / -0

Obama was ordered to stop using it for spying.

Remember when he got caught spying on ALL foreign leader communications? He was using this exact computer to do it.

8
Rreidy8286 8 points ago +8 / -0

I bet the reports that it was decommissioned was just that a report.

I can report that i just flew to mars. Doesn't really mean i did. If this turns out to be true i can imagine ppl involved hearing that and have the same response as the msdnc anchor....... Shit........ Oh fuck.

3
sleepingbeautyc 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why would you decommission it when you could decommission it, rename it and then keep it going.

Remember that twit saying that we would all flip if we knew how Obama got his info.

3
Rreidy8286 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly my line of thought. I dont think ppl understand the amount of money that goes into making that thing. Not just making it but the R&D involved? I cant imagine anyone saying "oh well toss it out" i think they did what you just said.

No i dont remember that 2nd part though sorry. What's its referencing?

Kraken was also defeated, not to be a doomer. I only know my history based off that old movie though lol.

The Kraken was also not real, so history probably won’t help you much with that. XD

Trumps EO on election interference/fraud plus the Biden laptops would be more than enough to secure FISA warrants, in a hypothetical.

11
BarronVonSaltzburg26 11 points ago +11 / -0

He declared a National Emergency at that time he issued his EO.

8
MexicanBeerFlu 8 points ago +8 / -0

Likely has had FISA warrants in place every place required for a long time.

7
Robert 7 points ago +7 / -0

Funny how FISA works both ways, innit? These morons think they're safe from the same methods and tools THEY USED to spy. Hilarious.

7
Optigrabz 7 points ago +7 / -0

Or the phone calls were to foreigners, which would allow broader rules for listening in. Would be fitting if FISA courts play a role in the exposition of the election plot.

3
prayinpede 3 points ago +3 / -0

Or he could just dump it on 4chan. They would go through it faster than anyone else.

9
chuckachookah 9 points ago +9 / -0

I think this is just a figure of speech. However, in hopes there is osmething more to it (wishful thinking)

  • Kraken was alledgly built Palantir
  • Palantir Technologies offers a suite of software applications for integrating, visualizing, fighting fraud, and analyzing information
  • Palantir was founded by Peter Thiel

Again, wishful thinking, but if there were ever a time for a technology that can visualize and fight fraud, it would be now.

2
genghiskern 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe just maybe these guys that build these supercomputers could build one that seeks out and destroys corruption.

2
Ham_Sandwich77 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then that's bad news because that has no bearing on the election whatsoever. The courts are not going to overturn the 2020 election results because Obama (2008-2016) did something bad. It doesn't work like that.

Hopefully this is not the "Kraken" Sydney Powell was referring to.

3
AgamemnonContingency 3 points ago +4 / -1

I think you're missing a key point. She didn't say "let the world know about Kraken!" She said "Release the Kraken!" According to this thread, Kraken is a supercomputer that was used to spy on world leaders on down, that was decommissioned in 2014 by Obama after he got caught using it on Merkel. So here's the thing, we know they had their hand in the cookie jar of Kraken, and we also know that Obama was a fan of Drone-Striking to the point of having a special classified interpretation of the law drafted to justify extra-judicial killings of American citizens (terrible though those citizens may have been). The big question is then, what if he mixed his two hobbies? What if he publicly decommissioned Kraken, only to turn around and put it under a classified budget and mission set to keep using it? Suddenly in that light, and assuming she meant "Release the Kraken (intercepts)!", it takes on an entirely new meaning.

3
Ham_Sandwich77 3 points ago +4 / -1

This whole connection seems like a huge stretch.

Like where the hell is anyone getting the idea that Obama used this University of TN "kraken" computer to spy on anyone? As far as I can tell, OP just pulled that straight out of his ass. He found a computer somewhere named "kraken" and just made the rest up. And now you're taking it even father down the "just make it up as you go along" rabbit hole.

I do wish people would learn to distinguish credible reality from figments of their imaginations. Or even use basic critical thinking. Like, why would you need to a supercomputer to listen to Merkel's phone call? (spoiler: You wouldn't).

This is all bullshit. People need to stay on point rather than getting distracted by these fantasies.

1
AgamemnonContingency 1 point ago +1 / -0

Eh, to each their own. This isn't the first or last time something will come up like this. You're firmly in million monkeys with typewriters mode here. Sometimes they produce Shakespeare, and most times you just end up with a very shitty typewriter.

1
Ham_Sandwich77 1 point ago +1 / -0

People shouldn't just make shit up out of thin air and then believe it, and tell others to believe it. That's fucking crazy. That's not being able to distinguish fantasy from reality.

Soros pretty much bought a big controlling share of the software company that owns the computer.

He has been using it in fractional market trading applications. In other words, manipulating the markets for profit with a supercomputer developed by the DoD, with taxpayer money.

But, having access, it could be used for ANYTHING. Including spying, or voter data monitoring and manipulation.
