Why hasn’t some powerhouse law firm latched onto this and started a series of class action lawsuits against companies that are forcing this policy? Stores, airlines, anything open to the public…
What would be a good circuit to start this federal class action lawsuit in?
I’m supposed to fly in a week, I can’t wear a mask, plus they are not sterile unless they are single use/indiv packaged and opened with sterile gloves.
You aren't the first to bring the issue up and it has been ruled on a few times in various states already. But to the point, no, mask mandates do not automatically violate ADA. As long as reasonable alternative accommodations are provided, then said business is well with their right to force it. Do you have a legally recognized disability? If not, then the ADA won't help in this situation. It sucks big monkey balls but this is the insanity people have been fighting with for, dang, what 3/4 of a year now. Holy shit this insanity needs to end already.
I do, respiratory illnesses
Then the airlines should definitely allow an accommodation for you. And if they don't, sue the pants off of them.
Edit: I should add, it seems that "accommodation" has morphed into "here, wear this gay face shield"
My dilemma: not traveling alone, already paid, would affect the entire trip for 6 people. Just the fact I have to worry about it is Orwellian/retarded.
The ADA also covers psyche conditions and hearing impaired, but I am really under a doctors care.
What airline if I may ask? I know some are insanely pushy about the masks where others seem to be more accommodating. For me the worst part about the mask BS is that even if a business says "okey dokey" it's all the NPC brainless idiots that end up piling on you for not wearing one and won't listen to the possible legit reasons.
American, that might end up being ironic. I think I’ll get a dr note as backup
Dang, American is probably the worst for this. They don't allow any mask exemptions. I had to review their info and to them, "reasonable accommodation" is "make alternative travel arrangements" 🤦♂️ Those assholes!
I heard it took a man 3 hours to eat his can of pringles on a flight! Just saying 😂 I agree with a huge class action law suit, some of theses stores say you can’t shop unless you’re wearing a mask. I stop and ask if it’s a law, they seem confused and I just keep on walking without mine!
I’ve been kicked out of 2 businesses, and gotten into 5-6 arguments at Costco for no mask (with the same fucking Nazi lady each time). I feel like I need a yellow patch
Both businesses said I need to do business on the sidewalk (one a bank while cashing a check, I said go to hell)
I heard they kicked off and banned a man for trying this (eating too slow). David Harris Jr was doing the “medical condition” line, and the airlines put an end to that exception - I have a legit medical condition (2 respiratory illnesses)
