This post will probably get zero traction and I'll be bombarded with attacks but I dont understand why being a Trump loving Republican requires us all to not want to not get sick or get others sick. Why cant we wear masks even if the mitigation is marginal its still something. I dont necessarily believe in lockdowns but restrictions on gatherings isn't that illogical is it? I understand we dont want to lose our freedoms so how about this do it willingly and you lose no freedom. I dont know I feel like there must be a way for both freedom and the ability to stop this virus to coexist. I'm a pede doing my part to slow the spread and I hope you all are too.

There's something called States as in the United States. The president cannot order States to do anything like a mask mandate or order the states to force their residents to take a vaccine. Each state is responsible for their own response to the virus and it's not Trump or Bejing Biden's job to tell the states what to do and in fact they can't even if they wanted to in this situation.
