So, it should be clear to anyone with a brain that our voting system is full of shit. It needs to be changed to eliminate fraud. Every ballot must be attached to a legal voter, period. Number every ballot and provide the voter with a tear-off receipt that has the matching number. Ballots should be counted twice, once by DNC operatives, and once by RNC operatives, and if the numbers do not match, an automatic recount occurs, under the control of a judge. All ballots must be hard copy, no electronic voting.
This was pretty much how it was done before (observers from both parties) but this year was all about the mail and they abused the trust and the system.
The problem I see is that once the ballots are removed from their envelopes and mixed into the stack, they are no longer distinguishable, so no amount of scrutiny or recounting can remove illegal ballots. The only way is for each ballot to be numbered and that number should trace to a legal voter.
So what do you do about thousands of blank ballots with only one candidate marked, that are surreptitiously mixed in with legitimate ballots? If each ballot cannot be tracked uniquely, then it is open for fraud.
Agreed, it shouldn't be difficult to separate the identity of the voter from the number on the ballot. I got excited when I heard the rumor that the DHS had secretly watermarked ballots to expose fraud, but alas, it was a pipe dream. There just needs to be a way for us to trust that the vote and the counting is secure.
