I’m fairly certain that in CA the legislature got involved as is the proper process to change law. The ruling tells Newsom to blow but doesn’t change anything in the election.
Note that this is not the case in those swing states forced to use non-secured mail ballots
Because the judge just ruled what Newsome did was unconstitutional. Now they have a legal precedent within the state to go after the ballots
